Academic Highlights: Sophie has a 4.6 GPA and made a 36 on the ACT. She served as the SGA Class Secretary (10th-11th) and a Class Senator (12th), is a two-time TEDx speaker and current emcee and speech mentor, club representative and member of the National Girls Academy League Advisory Panel, Treasurer of the French Club, MBHS Ambassador, and is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and National French Honor Society. Sophie volunteers at the Bell Center, Children’s Hospital, and VHSC TOPSoccer.

Athletic Highlights: State Champion (2024), State Finalist (2025), selected for 2025 North-South All Star Game, two-time All-Metro second team, three-time All-State honorable mention, two-time award for Best Offensive Player, and Captain (10th-12th).

Where do you see your academic future? I am attending the University of Virginia. I’m planning to major in biomedical engineering, then attending medical school! I hope to specialize in sports medicine or fetal medicine.

Where do you see your athletic future?  I am still undecided as to whether to play in college, but I know I will at least play intramural soccer, no matter where I go!

What is your favorite subject? I really love all subjects, but my favorite subject is Calculus. I have always loved Math, and Ms. Burns’ class grew my interest in Math exponentially! I also love Economics, Geography, and Chemistry.

What music do you listen to most? My favorite artists are Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, George Harrison, and Zach Bryan.
