Sophomore and Junior students and parents:
On January 23 and 24, 2025, representatives from six colleges and universities will visit Mountain Brook High School to facilitate discussions about the college application and selection process. We are fortunate to have the following schools represented this year: Hampden-Sydney College, Lafayette College, Savannah College of Art and Design, Sewanee: The University of the South, Texas Christian University, and the University of Alabama. Even if you are not interested in one of these schools, the workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about how to research colleges and navigate the college admission process. Please mark the following dates and times on your calendar and be sure to complete the online registration.
Thursday, January 23rd 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Panel session in Fine Arts Center with college representatives for students and parents
Friday, January 24th – Registered students meet in Gym (Parents do not participate on Friday)
We are excited about this workshop and grateful for the fine group of professionals we have assembled for the January session. Very few public schools in the nation offer this type of workshop, so we urge you to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from experts who make admission decisions. Teachers have been notified of the Friday morning session, and participating students will receive an excused absence from class.
Please complete the online registration form and submit the $30 registration fee online. Your registration is not complete until you submit the $30 registration fee using the link at the end of the registration form. No discount will be given if you are only attending one session. Registration deadline is Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
