Technology Resources
Mountain Brook High School is a 1 to 1 Chromebook campus providing a wireless network for students and guests. We are a blended learning environment using Schoology as our LMS, Google Apps for Education, and Microsoft Office.
We hope the information provided on these pages will help you with your technology needs. Please feel free to contact Drew Jackson, MBHS Technology Coordinator, if you have any questions. (jacksons@mtnbrook.k12.al.us)
Network Accounts
- Students have individual network usernames and passwords that provide access to the school networks and other resources including ClassLink, Canvas, Chalkablke and more. Accounts are issued by the school system and are deleted when a student graduates or withdraws from school.
Schoology - MBS Learning Management System
- The LMS software is a resource which provides a place for teachers to create courses using the blended learning approach. Class instructions, assignments, handouts, notes, and more can be posted. The assignments are pulled into one calendar for the student to help with organization of assignments and timelines. This resource also provides instant feed back on quizzes, grading and more. It even provides a place for student online discussions using the forum feature.
Google Apps for Education and Google Email
- Each student is given a Google email account. This account is linked to their Google Apps for Education resources including Google drive, docs, spreadsheets, presentations, and sites. The email account is the student network account plus @student.mtnbrook.k12.al.us
